Does anyone else have red raspberries? I was given some this spring. I put some in a raised bed that is part of my garden space and the rest down along an old fence line. For the ones that are in the bed, do I need to tie them to some sort of support now that they are taller? I would like to somehow contain them a little bit since it is in a confined space. Also, when is the best time to be able to thin out the patch and share a few canes with someone else? Is it better in the spring, the fall or what? Thanks for any advice you have to share and thanks to the previous poster for discussing other berries. I'm sure there are plenty of us that are new to growing or harvesting berries.
