No, not close enough to take them off your hands - but did you know
you can cut them up, dry them in a dehydrator or in trays in a closed
vehicle, or on hung
trays/sceens, etc. Then, you have the seeds you can munch on or save
for next year's harvest. And you can rehydrate the dried pumpkin and
use just as you would use fresh. It is great. I also grind some of the
dried pumpkin and add to soups for flavor/thickening. Some folks used
the ground dried pumpkin for making pumpkin bread or as flour
replacement that adds its own flavor and nutrients. It is great! Sara
