We have major issues here in the NGA mountains, too. Just last night,
they were yipping all around the perimeter of our big pasture....it is
calving season here. I always bring my mama cows up to the barn and put
them in the secure field up there because of the coyotes. They are bold
here and come right out into the open,even though we are heavily wooded.
It is legal to shoot them here, but we have to watch for our own
livestock placement and at night, that is hard to do when the moon is
not giving her light! We did buy a couple of "night vision scopes" for
this purpose...now we need one for the .22 rifle....they will kill
anything that they can drag to the ground here....and we don't own small
dogs because of this.Hope they don't become a nuisance where you
are...they are scary at night to hear...especially if you cannot "see"
