Oooohhh girl! If you have a wood stove, just chuck those cast iron
pieces into a good fire and let it burn until it burns out.When the fire
dies down, even if it takes a few days, those old piece come out all
rusty looking...just use a metal pot scrubber and clean all that off and
season as soon as you get it clean. It may take several seasoning
sessions to soak it in, but it will!~deb
PS-If you need to build good fire outdoors, just stick the pieces into
the hottest part of the fire. But, the wood stove will work, too and not
burn out as easy.
