You're right, Jeanne...they wont' re-season that way. I do wash mine in
hot water, but no soap. The soap seems to take the seasoning right back
off. Most things, once well seasoned, will not stick and no need for
heavy scouring anyway. And when my pieces are dry, I always give them a
quick spray with olive oil pan spray and a paper towel or napkin, then
store. They are always slick as a new baby's butt! lol~deb
