I let mine sit over flame and NEVER wash them!

Question~ I dont have a fan for my stove~ and we have an alarm powered
smoke detector (we've got a house alarm, and heat with wood...)
SO~
How do you recommend seasoning cast iron over an outside fire? I've done it
before, but I dont know that I did it super well~
I've got a WHOLE SET~ even a big ole *spider* (my hubby gives me the BEST
gifts!)
They have fallen out of use, but I would like to get back to using them all
again. I've got one small pan that I've got seasoned pretty well, the
others are on the porch staring at me and giving me the *eye* =)
