Hi Deb,
A child, spouse, or other family member/friend is a big incentive. A lot of doctors go into research because they have a loved one - spouse, child, father, mother that has been diagnosed with cancer. There are very few people that would put money above their loved one's health.
I'm thankful for every day, every minute that someone in research spent time finding the combination of meds that worked for me 15 years ago. I'm thankful for the people that have spent their time finding the right combination of meds that is working for my hubby.
There have been cures found in the past for diseases and it is my prayer and hope that a cure for cancer and other chronic illnesses will be found.

Living each day to the fullest
Why would they want to find a "cure for
cancer", when it is a multi billion dollar industry??? No incentive at all, if
ya ask me!
