Deb,
Let me ask, can I fry in it? I know it goes liquid at about room temp (76
degrees). I do like the fact you don't need to use a lot. I took my jar
camping and I probably used only about 2 tbsp the WEEK! Even hubby was
impressed.
I'm Cajun so we deep fry A LOT and w/wing season..this past Sunday I made
wings, calamari and jalapeno poppers. Along w/a 7-layer dip and a beef
roast for po-boys all week. Oh, and carrot cake. I was bored. J
I make fried shrimp and okra po-boys when they go on sale. I don't know if
I could live w/o deep-frying! I use a veggie oil blend. Local store had
them on sale for $9 per gallon; so I got 5 of them to last football season.
