I might be the only one with these feelings and I have lived in areas where natural predators are in a much higher number and believe me there are fewer issues with deer and other small animal overpopulation. Plus natural predator numbers fluctuate with the population of what they tend to eat on a regular basis. So if there are large numbers of deer there will be a larger number of wolves. But they don't reproduce as large of litters if the food level is down.
Just my own feelings and I too have to deal with natural predators, including bears and I still want my predators. It creates a much healthier eco system in my mind.
