Hi all! New to group and hoping that you have some ideas for us. We own 2 goats-currently pregnant, 12 hens, one rooster and one cat. Oh and love to garden and can fresh produce. Found that we need to grow more tomatoes and get more apples in summer/fall. Homemade applesauce and tomatoe sauce are running low already (:
We have tried several times to make yogurt from our goats' milk. The best we have produced was like a yogurt drink. Not thick enough for our family's taste. Got any good recipes or ideas??
We are also looking for any good cheese recipes using goat's milk (we use vegetarian rennet since we are mostly vegetarian in the house).
Secondly, we have two pregnant La Mancha goats. Any good books on pregnant and how to deliver/take care of the babies? One looks like she has one kid and the other is huge-probably has 3 kids in that belly of hers.
