Last night we went out @ about 2am, our pool was covered with a layer of
clear ice from shore to shore. With a flashlight beam we saw wood frogs and
3/4 inch black salamander larva swimming under the ice. Not a sign of adult
salamanders. Apparently the frogs can get by with out coming up for air @
the surface. - Mike
