We have set up a place here to "hide out" a few breeding stock
cattle...very close to the house that we can keep close watch over. We
will preserve a Jersey bull and calf as well as a Highland pair to
continue our food supply...at least for as long as we can. Any livestock
left in an open field, will be game for a hungry mob. We will also be
able to keep a few chickens in the area to keep eggs as well as poultry
for food. But, eventually, those will probably turn up "gone", too!~deb
