I've noticed that, too. One pool is (traditionally) high but think it may be also fed by groundwater and half way down a hill. When it clicked low water levels, I wondered if enough will remain for everyone to exit the pools; hopefully the cool/cloudy weather will slow evaporation............

Lots of calls from peepers, wood frogs and toads! Wood frog egg masses in large numbers at all 8 vernal pools visited between 10am-2pm today! Several spotted salamander egg masses, spermatophore galore and two adult salamanders in one of the pools!
One thing I've noticed is that the pools have significantly less water than in year' past. Maybe I'm just remembering last year where we had tons of rain... has anyone noticed a significant difference in water levels this year?
