Hello everybody,
I am using a total of 24 climate data (12 precipitation and 12 temperature for each month of the year) from CRU as my EGVs. They all are the same size, extent and have the same background values (-9999). When I upload them to Biomapper and verify them (with no transformation) I get the warning that 22 of them are "not continuous enough". I just don't understand why are they being considered not continuous enough, especially the temperature variables which ranges vary from -10 min to 32 max. Also the other 2 variables that do not obtain that warning message have ranges that are still very similar to the other 22.
I know that the FAQ says that we can ignore that issue and still run the ENFA, but I am seriously wondering if that is affecting the variable selection, especially because the result score table of the ENFA analysis almost NEVER includes precipitation variables for ANY species (and i have done 16 so far, from which I have birds, amphibians, reptiles and mammals) And normally one would assume that precipitation levels might be of importance for amphibians.
So, could anybody please tell me how can I fix the EGVs to stop obtaining that "not continous enough" message?
Thanks,
Carolina.
