Was watching an old episode of The Waltons where John Boy works and buys his Mom their first wringer washer and it reminded me of how much I love using a wringer washer and how we tend to be more careful with our clothes, like wearing an apron when working in the kitchen, cleaning or even in the vegetable garden. And then at the end of the show Earl Hammer did the voice over and noted that even during hard times when they thought they might be poor that in time they realized what great memories they had created and just how rich they really were, per the Great Depression and WW2.
My parents spoke the same way of those times, and in looking back I see where the BEST memories seem to be when we have had to work harder for something.
So I am curious what movies or tv shows have changed your life for the better, be it making you want to learn how to do something old fashioned that has proven to be something you now do, or changed how you view life and the path you are on.
