Teresa,
We are not far from you-right on your border, deep in the Appalachian
mountains.
I'm working as the budget allows to get the lamps and flashlights. I was in
the Super Dollar grocery store the other day, and they had family size cans
of baked beans on sale for .99 cents a can, and an expiration date of 2014.
I bought 30 of those big cans. Spices and seasonings were on sale for 10 for
$10, and I bought several of those. The lady at the register looked at me
like I was crazy. I just smiled, LOL!
It sounds though like your family is well taken care of! Careful planning on
your part has paid off well. The Winters here scare me a bit, I'm sure you
know how it is, being snowed in and no electricity for days on end. We had a
snowstorm here a couple of years back, and some poor souls didn't have
electricity back for 2 months!
Best,
Mel
