For lack of a better word, RATS!!! LOL, there go all my suggestions. The
only other thing I have come up with is that it is the soap/detergent that
takes care of oil/grease/fats. Homemade laundry stuff is generally more
long the lines of soap and store bought bars are more along the lines of
detergents. Since the Dawn sort of helped, maybe find a soap bar that is
more detergenty and less soapy???
You said to my suggestion ". presoak in detergent and/or borax This is the
detergent I use." Are you only using Borax???? IF so, you might need to
add some sort of soap or detergent to it.

Some suggestions,
1. presoak in detergent and/or borax
This is the detergent I use.
2. use vinegar in the rinse water
Doesn't work.
3. cut down on the amount of olive oil
Use 1 tbsp and same issue.
4. increase the amount of detergent in the wash water
I use homemade detergent and have doubled, even used up to 1 cup and no
change.
5. try another carrier oil
Used almond, vege and peanut.
