We're on day 2 of canning and dehydrating apples and peaches. And yes, I'm getting sick to death of peaches. Apples? No. Peaches? Very!
My wife has a contraption from Pampered Chef that peels and spiral cuts the apples, so dehydrating is a breeze with that, but those $%#*& slippery peaches are a pain!

Yes... We have a local grocery store that sells at much reduced prices
fruits and veggies with blemishes or just turning past their prime. I
buy these all up, and any kind of fruit dipped in lemon juice (and or
sprinkled with citric acid after being cut/prepared - I do a big bowl of
these at a time, cut and prepare, then add lemon juice and/or citric
acid, stir in, and then spread out on the trays). It is a most
delicious snack. Sara
