Hi Angelia,
Just received 2 recipes from a friend. I have made jam using the first one, the 4-3-2-1 jam. I did find a recipe in an old Kerr canning book for the cup for cup recipe. Let me know if you have questions.

"I have two for jam I think. It is called 4-3-2-1. Crush four cups of peaches. You also need 4 cups sugar. Bring all peaches and 1 cup of sugar to a boil. Boil for 4 minutes. Add 1 cup sugar and boil 3 min. Add 1 cup sugar and boil 2 min. Add last cup sugar and boil 1 minute. Put in jars. It is not so thick but good. You can add a touch of vanilla if you wish.
The other one is cup for cup. You can use for any fruit. 1 cup crushed fruit and 1 cut sugar."

Subject: [Homesteadingfamily] Making Jam? Question~
I've been super sick, unable to do any canning or berries or ANYTHING~
eaches are on here right now. I would like to make some Jam~
I dont want to use commercial pectin. I made raspberry Jam last year with
ust berries and sugar and I think some water~ Its the BEST!
s there a 'magic' ratio for fruit to sugar to make a good Jam?
