The grocery store where I shop (Kroger) is giving 4 times the points toward gas for purchase of gift cards. A $50 gift card gives me 200 points which is 20 cents off per gallon. I buy the gift cards using my Mastercard which also gives me points which I can redeem for gift cards or money. Always pay the charge card each month so I don't have to pay interest.
Black Friday, I shopped at CVS and Walgreens. Got lots of free or almost free (some even made money on them since I had coupons). Most of these items will be used as basket fillers or stocking stuffers.
Bargain shopping is one of my hobbies. Very seldom do I pay full price for anything.
