This Garmin is about 3 1/2 yrs old. I have never run an update on it. So, I wouldn't recommend using it without buying a map update which is at least $50 (last time I used it, I got lost in Tampa.) This is an older, bulkier style, sort of like a tube television if you remember what those look like :) Most of the features are the same as the new ones. It has turn-by-turn and it talks to you. You can connect your compatible Bluetooth phone for speakerphone in the car. I have everything that came with it, including the instructions, a carrying pouch, charger, USB cable, suction cup and the original box.
