Nakh-Nakh, Russian for go away, is a bespectacled pig with an orange scarf, a blue beret. The pink-cheeked pig casts his vote, adding a big black X across the entire ballot before slipping it through the slot. X means Nakh-Nakh votes for Kanenas, Greek for nobody. Dmitry Medvedev points out this Sunday, December 4, Putinlnd goes to the polls to elect the State Duma, but do not vote for Kanenas!
Basil Venitis points out lemmings are Arctic rodents of poor eyesight, which can drown en masse. Russian lemmings vote for United Russian. American Lemmings vote for Republicans or Decocrats. Europeans behave like lemmings when they masochistically vote for kleptocrats. British lemmings vote for Whigs or Tories. Greek lemmings vote for Pasok or Nea Democratia. Eurolemmings rely on the spinmill of Brussels bromides. Are you a lemming? Are you a victim of taxation and kleptocracy? Venitis asserts it's time for soulsearching and vision examination.
Seven officially registered political parties are taking part in this election, which obey Putin. In accordance with Putinlnd laws, they have received the conditions needed for fair and free competition to cherish Putin. Medvedev hopes Putinlandians have had the chance during the campaign to judge for themselves not only the different parties' programs, but also their actual acts, as most of them are represented in the current parliament.
Venitis asserts that citizens who want the government out of their wallets, their bedrooms, their businesses, and their lives must vote for libertarians. Only libertarians try to minimize government and maximize individual liberty. It's not a shame to lose an election, but it's a shame to compromise your values in order to win an election. Obsession with polls is a sign of weak soul. The two major parties are willing to say anything and promise everything in order to win an election. Of course, after the election most promises are conveniently forgotten. The two major parties need an awakening call.
Do not listen to Nakh-Nakh! Medvedev wants to stress the point that elections are one of the highest manifestations of Putin's kleptocracy. Do not vote for Kanenas! Putinlandians' personal participation in this election will decide what the new Putinlandian kleptocratic parliament will look like. Every adult citizen of Putinland has the right to come to the polling station and freely cast their vote for the kleptocrats of their choice.
Kleptocrats promote phobias and bogeys in order to take the attention of voters away from taxation and kleptocracy, and to have a fantastic opportunity to present themselves as Moses who leads the people to salvation! Rabblerousers make a living out of convincing people that the sky is falling. The essence of statesmanship in a
free society is just the opposite, helping people understand the facts and proposing real solutions to real problems. You have to know when to stop doing something. Hitler did not know. Mousolini did not know. Kleptocrats do not know when to stop looting the producers and fooling all citizens. They do not understand that the
parasites and the host die together.
Nakh-Nakh gives kleptocrats hard time! Medvedev muses that people perform many of the truly good, right, and important acts in life not out of obligation, but out of a sense of responsibility, the call of their heart, moral considerations, and the awareness that only we ourselves can make our lives better. No one else can do it for us, except Putin!
The political parties split voters into two groups, those who are for them and those who are against. There is also a very large group of undecided voters. You can try and win over these guys, but it's difficult to win citizens who are pissed off with kleptocrats. Consultants and opinion pollsters have taken all the spontaneity out of politics. In a deliberately vicious and ruthless campaign a lot of voters turn away in disgust. The abstention might damage bully's opponent more than the bully. The bully could make the race so obnoxious that he could merely discourage people from voting. Bully's deliberately dirty campaign might turn off voters who may vote against him.
Do not vote for Kanenas! Medvedev asserts Putinlandians should do something right and important come to cast their vote in the parliamentary election and decide who will represent them in the State Duma, Putinlnad's highest representative body. Electing the new parliament is Putinlandians' chance to have a big impact on the way the federal authorities in general will work over the coming years, and decide the fate of many needed economic and social development measures, health and education reforms, measures to combat corruption and crime, and measures to protect our country against external threats.
The scales will tip toward the party that manages to motivate its supporters to come out and vote for it. The ability of a politician to rally his people decides the election outcome, not his or her ability to woo the supporters of the competition. It works the other way round too. If you manage to keep more of your opponent's voters at home than your own, you take the lead. You could describe this as success through a demobilization of voters. It is not a particularly appetizing procedure but, if it works, it can secure an election win.
How much time will Putinlandians spend coming to vote? Not much. Half an hour, perhaps, an hour? But this hour will decide what kind of kleptocrats live with for the next five years. This hour will decide whether Putinlandians have a parliament riven by irreconcilable differences and unable to actually decide anything, as has sadly been the case in their past, or whether they have an effective kickback-making body in which the majority of members are responsible kleptocrats capable of making real flows of kickbacks from business and people's lives and guided by the interests of the voters and the country.
Medvedev notes that Putinlandians' direct and free participation in elections is one of Putinlnd's indisputable achievements of these last decades. People's power is fully realized on election day. Medvedev is sure that, together, Putinlandians will build a truly modern and highly developed Putinlnd that offers Putinlandians a comfortable environment for life.
Send Nakh-Nakh to hell! Medvedev therefore calls on Putinlandians to make the right choice on December 4. Putinlandians should vote for those who they believe will look after their interests, understand the economy, have experience in overcoming crisis situations, are capable of defending Putinland and preserving it for their children, understand Putinlandians well, and speak to Putinlandians the truth.
Do not vote for Kanenas!
