I guess some feel it's their due to take what they want regardless of anyone else, but don't do it to them.
What is that old saying: it is better to ask forgiveness then permission

I have a friend that she and her hubby have a peach, apple orchard and "You Pick" blueberries. It is not unusal for them to find people picking blueberries without paying for them. It is interesting when they are caught and trying to come up with an excuse. If this couple thought that someone could not pay, they would be more than willing to give them the berries.

I grew up in New Orleans and it was many a time we ran some butthead off our
ront yard from stopping their car and trying to collect OUR pecans & figs. One
uy actually said it's in the front yard so it's available to anyone. I guess
rivate property only applies to the back of the house! J
