Many of the spotted salamanders are males, with some 1 out of 10 being a female and many are small. The redback salamanders in their variety of colors have been plentiful as well.
The eastern phoebe announced the beginning of spring in our island forest last week and the hermit thrush has been settling into the area of the pond the other day.
I'm sure many are enjoying the fog here in CT and looking forward to some rain.
