I looked out at 7:30 last night to see that is was 38 degrees and sprinkling out, so I raced to my site 3 miles away. Rain stopped and road fairly dry. A dozen or so wood frogs had already been hit. Walked the road from 7:45 to 9:15 DST. Bum knee acting up and waned to save it for tonight, since forecast looks promising.
I had five spotted salamanders. One unfortunately hit while I was there, another had his tail hit. One spring peeper. Very surprising was absolutely no wood frog chorus at all.
