South-central NH (Hopkinton, near Concord): Peepers and wood frogs
bimodal this year: choruses from both during the March summer weather;
smaller wood frog and larger peeper choruses - along with American toads
- this weekend. A little ambystomid activity in March but I think most
of it is happening piecemeal this month.

While taking a walk to survey the small sub-division being built
behind my house, I was surprised to come upon Spring Peepers calling
from a small wetland (actually wet). I was even MORE surprised to find
that by cupping my hands to my ear I could hear Wood Frogs chorusing
from deeper within the woods (inaccessible to me). The Wood Frogs
closer to my yard chorused about 3 weeks ago - ???
