[vernalpool] Beacon Falls, CT wood frogs are alive and plentiful

 

This morning found that all the wood frogs from one large group of egg masses have all hatched while another 30 feet away had only a few swarming around the remainding egg masses. Only sighting was a female spotted salamander and a green frog tadpole. While the temps are in the low 50s I've seen some gusts of 17mph.
