We got some rain here in the Valley this morning. Not enough to wet the
soil though.
I really miss having to cut wood and stack it. This will be our second
winter without wood heat. I MISS it.
I have been using my dehydrator as much as possible. Canning has fallen on
the back burner for me because of some strange pain I've been dealing
with. I cant wait for apples and apple sauce. The things I save sure have
changed since going 95% grain free. 100% wheat and gluten free. I really
miss bread, and toast and peanut or almond butter and jelly sandwiches!!
Peaches have been ready here for a few weeks, and I've purchased a few from
a local stand and they are SO good. I would like to get more to freeze and
dry, alas... it always seems that I'm out of money when the good stuff
starts coming on! I really miss having a farm. Being in town has its
plusses, but none that I care about right now.
