Yesterday was rainy all day with high temp of 57. Rained stopped at 3:00. Temps dropped to 47 and a light mist started at 6:00. No snow cover. I arrived at the site at 7:00 and already found five wood frog fatalities. Over the course of the next two hours I had 8 more wood frogs, 13 spring peepers (3 hit by cars) and one unfortunate small spotted salamander, also hit. An added bonus was at least two barred owls calling.
