I dont see an animal being cut and wrapped in the middle of a field.
I may be wrong, but I believe my elk-hunting friend mentioned that he can "field
strip" an elk in less than an hour. It totally depends on how detailed you're
wanting to be. Grab a sharp knife and a couple of large, plastic lined backpacks
and you could get a couple hundred pounds of meat and be gone in very little
time.
I can't picture someone taking much time to be very detailed in the process in
this situation and they certainly are not concerned with waiste. The only effort
they put in this process was theft.
