[vernalpool] Activity in Norton

 

Loud choruses of spring peeper (at last!) and also wood frogs heard at
the Wheaton College vernal pools and in the woods. Several redback
salamanders found in our pitfall traps, along with 7 yellow-spotted
salamanders. Spermataphore courts and a congress observed in the pool
last night at midnight.
