[vernalpool] April 6 observations

 

The weather was not good in Westborough for additional amphibian movements last night, but animals in the pools appeared to remain active. Checking traps this morning, we captured 22 spotties in one pool and 158 in another. The second pool also had 23 blue-spots (almost all appeared to be gravid unisexuals).
