Many eggheads predict a Greek revolution, an inexorable change which will release the elastic energy of discontent inside Greeks. Eggheads' work is like that of geologists who compile the signs of an imminent earthquake or volcanic eruption. But the time of eruption and its form and severity cannot be predicted in an exact way. So we know a tsunami of discontent will hit the Cradle of Kleptocracy, but we do not know when.
Jean-Claude Juncker, the prime minister of Luxembourg and president of the Euro Group, declares his main concern is to protect people from detriment. That's why he feels practically compelled to make sure that no dangerous rumors begin to circulate. God understands more about the financial markets than many who write about them!
Bankruptcy would be God's gift to the Cradle of Kleptocracy, because Greece needs a real shock and awe to recover from political corruption. And it looks like God will manifest his benevolence pretty soon! A bankruptcy will also bring the much needed revolution to get rid of Graecokleptocrats. The sooner Graecokleptocracy defaults, the better it will be for all concerned. The bigger the haircut, the worse the pain that follows. The damage being inflicted on Greece is very masochistic. When defaults within the eurozone are accepted, a sensible analysis about how to fix the euro can begin.
Juncker notes that when he does not confirm a course of events even though he ought to, he knows exactly why he is doing so. In light of the nervousness of the financial markets, it is difficult for Juncker to keep the public adequately and correctly informed all the time. This is regrettable, but unfortunately it's also unavoidable.
Greek rabblerousers believe their job is to get kickbacks! These kickback collectors are masters of bribery and cronyism, serving not the people, but the pullpeddlers. These freaks try to gag all dissident bloggers, manipulate justice, churn the pension funds of poor workers, and equate truth with treason.
Juncker laments that October-18 Mafia has not adequately implemented the consolidation program to which it had agreed. Revenues are 9 percent below the target, the reform of the tax system is not proceeding as agreed and the planned privatization efforts haven't even been initiated. Juncker was very direct in trying to explain these failings to October-18 Mafia at the last meeting of the Fourth Reich finance ministers.
There are quite a few things October-18 Mafia can do to clean up its budget. The government bureaucracy is bloated and needs to be reduced in size. Besides, the country has significant assets that the government owns. Experts estimate the value of these public assets at about half trillion euros. Juncker assumes that with privatizations, the October-18 Mafia will be able to generate far more revenue over the years than the €50 billion it actually proposed.
Juncker declares Fourth Reich will monitor the privatization program as tightly as if we were implementing it ourselves. For example, Juncker would welcome it if October-18 Mafia were to establish a privatization agency independent of the government, based on the model of Germany's Treuhandanstalt privatization agency, which managed the privatization of East German enterprises after reunification, one that would also be staffed with foreign experts.
Juncker expects the two major political groups in the Cradle of Kleptocracy to settle their petty differences when it comes to this critical political issue. October-18 Mafia and the opposition should jointly declare their commitment to the reform agreements with Fourth Reich. Two roommates of Amherst College of Massachusetts, Anthony Samaras and George Papandreou, lead the two most corrupt political parties of Fourth Reich(EU), Nea Democratia and October-18 mafia. Marilizardist Papandreou of October-18 mafia is the premier of Graecokleptocracy, and Samaras is the leader of opposition. Papandreou participated in the kleptocratic government of Costas Simitis, and Samaras participated in the kleptocratic government of Costas Caramanlis. Juncker points out that if October-18 Mafia were to declare a national bankruptcy tomorrow, the Cradle of Kleptocracy would have no access to the international financial market for years to come, and its most important creditors, the banks in Fourth Reich would have an enormous problem with incalculable consequences for the financial market.
Juncker asserts we are still at the epicenter of a global crisis. We are dealing with largely irrational markets, nervous investors and rating agencies whose conclusions don't always make complete sense. In the case of a national bankruptcy with a subsequent debt restructuring, we would be letting a genie out of the bottle without knowing in which direction it would be flying.
An economic system in which the profits are privatized and the risks socialized goes against Juncker's basic convictions. However, we must be careful that we do not blow up the global financial system by insisting on regulatory principles. That is why Juncker advises exercising as much restraint as possible when it comes to this notion.
Juncker asserts October-18 Mafia will have to fulfill its consolidation program, as promised. Once that has happened, we can think about extending the terms of public and private loans and reducing interest rates. That is what Juncker means by a soft restructuring of the Cradle of Kleptocracy. It would be the very last step in a very long process.
Trichet is very cautious when it comes to debt restructuring, because he is afraid that the crisis could then spread to other countries. That is why a soft restructuring can only be an option in specific cases and only under certain conditions.
