We have an independent place about 30 minutes from here, a sewing maching
store and fabric place, it's wonderful, kinda the old fashioned type of
place I remember from when I was a kid. The ONLY drawback, is the PRICES! I
am convinced that if you want good quality cloth you will have to pay for
it. Especially when the only place to find these fabrics is smaller places.
Another idea, is if and when you do any traveling, when you are in a big
city, to find the garment district/fabric district, and LOAD UP on stuff
while you're there. I know we were in Tampa a few years ago and found some
beautiful material that was pretty reasonable. LA, NY, Dallas,...and many
others all have places you can get material wholesale. Anyhow, it's just a
thought.
