[vernalpool] Toads in Lexington

 

Toads trilling in Lexington today--3 weeks early!! 

Salamander eggs--not as many as in past years and wood frog eggs, likewise.  Just a few spotted salamanders and some wood frogs still in the pools near Minuteman Tech (also fewer fairy shrimp).

I wonder if we will have a second wave?

Kind of an unsettling spring.
