[BMp] updated species map question

 

Hi,
I read through the older posts and I saw that the number of decimal places could be an issue when trying to add a species map. I kept getting a message saying that the species map file could not be overlayed with the EGVs. I had checked the decimal places in the text file before I converted it. When I checked the metadata, somehow the decimal places for x and y went from 5 and 6 respectively to 12 each! The extent has also changed from my original input. I had used a mask coverage with the species map input file. When I go into the metadata in DIVA GIS for the species map, the extent and decimal places are correct again. Any help is appreciated.
