[vernalpool] decontamination protocols

Thanks Bryan and others who have shared protocols.

Do you worry about the movement of small animals, such as fairy shrimp,
copepods, water fleas, ostracods, or clam shrimp, either in their adult
or resting stages? What about duckweed? Or do we just assume, as you
suggest, that they have easier routes of local migration other than on
the bottom of my boots or in my nets?

I recently heard about a biology class that visited several intertidal
field sites, washed and brushed off their boots, drove home, and then
conducted a careful examination of their boots. They found a surprising
number of life forms spanning several phyla!
