[vernalpool] Wood frogs mating

 

Checked out three vernal pools in the Concord, NH area at 6 pm today and found two of them with wood frogs that were mating. One of the pools appeared to have egg masses (maybe they were in the process of being deposited). I could not get near enough to check them out.
