it is an easy rabbit to raise suffers from very few diseases and is easy for one person to butcher. I can have a 4 pound animal which produces a 2 pound fryer in 9-12 weeks with just a cup of food that costs me about 7 cents a cup

Higher priced simply because the place is in an area here in CA where folks will pay the price. As I noted they are a quick easy meat animal to raise and slaughter oneself.
